Family Owned
for 90 years

Our humble beginnings
Sawing lumber runs in the family. In 1935 Paul's father Martin, started a sawmill in Reedsburg, Wisconsin. Here he manufactured railroad ties and grade lumber. In 1970, Martin retired and Paul and his brother assumed control of the sawmill where the family had established an outstanding reputation in business. In 1984, Paul bought out his brother and ran the mill until 1988 when he sold it. After selling the sawmill, Paul had worked for the new owners for 5 years and after much consideration, decided to rebuild a new sawmill instead of retiring.
When Paul started what is now Meisters Forest Products, he also had a new business partner, his oldest son Mark, who also owned a trucking company. Our current location in Endeavor, WI was established in 1992 by Paul and Mark. In 1999 the company expanded by adding the Black River Falls sawmill to better serve our clients in the Midwest.
Throughout the years, MFP has created a motto: " We call to sell you the first load; after that, you call us for the second load". Our company believes that if we continue to create top quality products the customers will come.
Paul passed away in April 2021 and his sons, Mark and Matt, own the mills. Mark manages the Endeavor plant and oversees the whole company, while Matt manages the Black River Falls Plant. Mark's sons, Cody and Tyler, play very large roles in the company, making the sawmills 4th generation operated.
